How to obtain Environment Clearance Certificate in Bangladesh
Industrialization is a crucial step towards sustainable economic development. However, it can also lead to environmental degradation, including air, water, and soil pollution. To mitigate these adverse effects, the government of Bangladesh advocates for environmental management to lessen the harsh impacts of industrialization. To this end, it enacted the Bangladesh Environmental Conservation Act of 1995 and the Environment Conservation Rules of 1997, which aim to protect the environment and reduce pollution. Furthermore, Article 18A was added to the Constitution of Bangladesh, stipulating that the state shall endeavor to protect and improve the environment and to preserve and safeguard natural resources, biodiversity, wetlands, forests, and wildlife for the benefit of present and future citizens.
